FROM THE PRESIDENT'S DESK

Welcome to AREW’s 34^th year! We’ve just brought our 2010-11 season to a successful close, culminating in a festive, well attended Members Only Luncheon. Now, as AREW’s new president, it is my pleasure and privilege to welcome you to our new season.

Summer is the most leisurely time of the year, but not behind the scenes at AREW where our new officers and board are busily planning early fall events and will shortly begin our 2011-12 membership and sponsorship drives.

This year you'll see that in addition to our already outstanding benefits, we are initiating some new (and renewed) members only events focused on targeted, quality networking and business development. One of our goals is to bring our members one of the industry's richest, busiest and most productive schedules of education and networking.

As someone who served as a committee volunteer, board member and vice president before becoming AREW’s president, I have experienced the great networking and learning opportunities that go hand in hand with being a more active AREW participant. Thus, along with your renewal, I urge you to take full advantage of your membership by volunteering for a committee.

I’m also very enthusiastic about AREW’s relationship with the national CREW Network. As a CREW chapter, all of our members also receive membership in CREW which offers tremendous opportunities for professional growth. The national convention will be held in Washington, D.C. in September. It’s a short ACELA trip away from meeting thousands of professional real estate women and a great opportunity to enhance your learning and build your network.
