Women in Need
AREW's charitable activities expanded to include WOMEN IN NEED, INC. in 1992. WIN provides a variety of services to women and their children including temporary and permanent housing, relocation assistance, crisis intervention, alcohol and substance abuse treatment, day care and a summer camp. WIN actively combats homelessness, promotes self-sufficiency and builds self-esteem for women through programs that teach basic home and child care and job skills. AREW members support WIN both through AREW's fundraising events and by volunteering their time and expertise to help other New York area women.
